A Possibility

Maybe her and I

We run parallel lines

Or maybe

Our dreams shall cause our lives to intersect

Maybe

I met her and didn’t cherish her where she was at

And like the helium ballon

She flew away and never looked back

But

I thought when we met

She would be ready

I held my heart steady

And sprang like the meadow in Spring

But the rain is the same no matter the season

Love always hopes

Hope is my reason

So these parallel lines

I run them so fast, I almost float

I seek a lasting relationship, something permanent in a world of change, in which all is transitory, ephemeral, and full of pain. We humans, we are too frail creatures to handle such titanic emotions and deep magnetic yearnings, strivings, and impulses.
