A Thought
The thought of God
A thought so grand, but dwells so low
In the mind of man
A thought forms of Thee
I could fathom space, and oceans, and deserts, and land
Before one thought of Thee
Could I ever understand
Oh Jesus Christ, grace me with such knowledge
Just one whole thought Him, of You, and Your Spirit
I could conquer death and sin and flesh
With the vigor and joy of one thought of Thee
Bless me with more thoughts
Until my Hope
I see
“If God were not a mystery He would not be God to us.”
