Thou Shall Not Envy

I envy the trees, their potential is eternal, their only goal is growth

I envy the animals, they are free from thinking and its heavy, exhausting burden

There are things that swim the oceans currents, they experience a freedom only known to fiction

I envy them most of all

Yet, as a human I rage against myself

The one who resembles me, causes my greatest fear

And God is my enemy

The voice of life in me cannot reach the ear of life in you; but let us talk that we may not feel lonely.
