Weary Pilgrim

I’m ready to go home

Father I’m lost

I no longer journey

I pathetically roam

It’s dark

The air and the people are anemic

The frost outside

Has entered through my nose and dropped the temperature of my heart

I thought I freed myself from these beastly instincts

Every night they press restart

Humans I love

Those who I would give up my spirit 4

Disappoint me and remind me

Only One can make straight the road

Raise the valleys and lower the mountains

In… my… heart…

I mean like even the minute parts

Surely God is my help; the Lord is the One who sustains me.
— Psalm 54:4
