A Chance 4 A Macabre

The still water tempted me to walk on it

The gentle breeze whispered in my ear

Rushing me to make a decision

My thinking became irrational

And the water became solid

I was so sure

I broke out in a sprint

Feet first I dived

The dry bones of death

Hugged me with a wet embrace

Life may seem to flee in a moment, but when the mind is freed of the veil of ignorance and illusion that comes between the mind and the truth, life and death are only opposite sides of the same coin—water welling from the fire.
