A Moonspoon
I’ve never seen stars around the moon
It’s light is so bright that it can stand alone
But if you look East or West the stars flood the sky
They scatter like dancing fireflies
Is this bright light not enough?
Or is the darkness that great?
Swallowed by darkness
But floating on faith
Who has the greater responsibility?
The sun or the moon?
In the absence of the sun’s light
The moon pierces the thickness of the night
Again I ask, who has the greater responsibility?
“America doesn’t revere creative people.”
