A Mustard Seed

I’m just a little branch

Yes I’m rooty

But I’m just a little branch

My first monsoon is approaching

I smell it in the air

A branch in a meadow

Oaks from afar watch in despair

The clouds thicken

The thunder intimidates

I’m rooty though

And that’s all it takes

I welcome the storm

What kind of tree shall this water make

I am in a meadow

Surrounded by space

Ya know what?

I’ll take a nap in this storm

I’m rooty in faith

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human mind has conceived — the things God has prepared for those who love him.
