Introspective

I’ve seen the top of the highest mountains and watched the biggest people become small

I’ve seen the prideful roar 

And the humble fall 

My heart has tasted loved sweeter than Krispy Kreme doughnuts 

I’m about 100 dozens in

I’ve swam in shoreless oceans 

All alone because I haven’t found one consistent friend 

Meditated in serene fields 

The peace I found

Dwelled when I left

Clothed in the finest luxury 

Adorned fresher than Solomon 

Enjoyed more pleasure than Sodom and… slept like a bear in hybernation 

I’ve watched the wicked flourish in joy 

And the holy groan while being called insane 

I’ve seen the bellies of the full grow fatter 

And those poor in Spirit grow from pain

What’s the meaning of all this?  

True life is only found in His Name 

I open my window 

He opened the storehouses of wind 

He swept me off my feet

Ha, watch my new life begin
